Grindstone ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Grindstone mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Quiz Responses: When you take the personality quiz, your answers are processed locally on your device to generate your trait scores and hustle matches. Your quiz responses are stored on your device.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics data to improve the App, including screen views, feature usage, and crash reports. This data does not personally identify you.

Purchase Information: If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and a random device identifier for analytics and crash reporting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate your personality profile and hustle matches
• To provide and maintain the App
• To detect, prevent, and fix crashes and bugs
• To understand how users interact with the App so we can improve it
• To send you notifications you have opted into (streak reminders, milestones)

3. Data Storage

Your quiz results, trait scores, and hustle progress are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal quiz data to external servers unless you explicitly create an account for cross-device sync.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Sentry — crash reporting and error tracking
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — payment processing

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing data they collect.

5. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, we may send local notifications (streak reminders, milestone celebrations, daily nudges). You can disable notifications at any time in the App settings or your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by using the "Reset Profile" option in the App's Settings screen. This permanently removes your quiz results, trait scores, and hustle progress from your device.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
